MEMORIES

Project summary

MEMORIES aims to study the role of nutrition-related chronic diseases such as obesity and type 2 diabetes as risk factors for mental health disorders in adults in France.

The 3 main objectives of MEMORIES are as follows:
- Estimate and classify the relative risk of nutrition-related chronic diseases associated with mental health disorders
- Develop and validate a prospectively applicable epidemiological index of mental multi-morbidity
- Studying the prospective association of mental multi-morbidity with nutrition-related chronic diseases, capable of predicting the risk of obesity and type 2 diabetes.

The part of the MEMORIES project carried out at the Centre des Sciences du Goût et de l'Alimentation (CSGA) is as follows: obesity as a determinant of mental health disorders and impaired cognitive function in adults.
