Speech's title

Connecting the Dots: Harnessing Chemosensory Data and AI for Real-World Impact

Why Sharing Smell and Taste Data Matters Now

Summary

Chemosensory science generates a wealth of data—including clinical smell test scores, self-reports, chemical profiles, and more. Yet much of this information is unstandardized, siloed, and difficult to connect, limiting its value for both basic and clinical insights.

This talk illustrates the rationale and process to transform fragmented findings into unified resources that unlock broader, more actionable AI insights. Valentina will present data from laboratory, population, and clinical sources, highlighting how platforms like Hub4Smell are harmonizing these data streams.

The result: new opportunities across sectors, whether early disease detection, personalized nutrition, enriched consumer experiences, and empowered communities.
