EquiTABLE Project: Sustainable Food for All. Mobilizing to Eat Better

Environnement

You will be welcomed within the MIAM team at the Center for Taste and Food Sciences (UMR CSGA: INRAE, CNRS, Institut Agro Dijon, University of Burgundy) in Dijon. You will participate in the research program "EquiTABLE: Sustainable Food for All: Mobilizing to Eat Better" (ANR-24-SARP-0017).

This Participatory Science and Research project aims to mobilize food-insecure eaters in the transition to a more sustainable diet and empower them to take action. Born from the cross-reflection between people involved in solidarity food and researchers committed to understanding the determinants of the behavior of eaters, particularly those in precarious situations, this project aims to 1/ co-construct creative, citizen-based and innovative systems to mobilize and raise awareness, in an inclusive, non-normative and interactive way, of the greatest number of people to sustainable food, 2/ to evaluate what works during a pilot in a social and solidarity grocery store where purchases, choices and eating behaviors can be measured, in order 3/ to ultimately propose tangible and supported levers to include all eaters, particularly those experiencing food insecurity, in the transition to sustainable food.

Activity of the stage

Working with the various people involved in the project (scientists, managers, volunteers, and food aid users), your responsibilities will be:

- To assess changes in food choices, purchases, and user perceptions throughout the project, using qualitative (interviews, focus groups) and/or quantitative (questionnaire analysis, analysis of purchases in social grocery stores) approaches.

- To write notes at various stages of the project.

- To communicate the study results to a variety of audiences (academic and non-academic).

The candidate must demonstrate good interpersonal skills, an interest in studying the determinants of eating behaviors using humanities and social science approaches, and an awareness of the current challenges of the transition to healthier and more sustainable diets for people experiencing food insecurity.
