Research theme
My current research focuses on the influence of early exposure (larval stage) to chemical stimuli (pheromonal or food) on chemoperception and behavior in adult Drosophila. On the other hand, in collaboration with Prof. Angel Acebes (Universidad La Laguna, Sp), I am working on the effect of neurodegeneration on olfaction in this insect.
Key words
Drosophila, pheromones, sexual behaviour, feeding behaviour, speciation, microbiotes, larval exposition, fatty acids, cuticular hydrocarbons, neurodegeneration
