Activities

Research theme
My research focuses on the molecular mechanisms underlying the chemosensory perception of sapid and odorant molecules that are partly responsible for food flavor. I specialize in the study of interactions between taste/odor molecules and their associated detection systems (olfactory and gustatory receptors), with particular expertise in bitter taste. My research therefore draws on knowledge from a variety of scientific fields, ranging from molecular biology (gene construction) to cell biology (protein expression and functional activity measurements in cell models).
